Missing Pieces

Share on FacebookTweet about this on TwitterEmail this to someone

Instinct–a natural desire or tendency that makes you want to act in a particular way or a way of thinking and feeling that is not learned–overall is a good thing. Instincts whisper or sometimes shout to us what we should do, say or be. They tell us when something feels good or right. They also tell us when something does not feel so good or right, or when things feel off and that there are missing pieces. This missing pieces thing is hard.

I do think that listening–really listening–to your instincts is a good thing. It can save you a lot of contemplating, worrying and over thinking, and can be enlightening and directional. But when your instincts are telling you that something is not adding up or making sense you can feel confused or sad–and even feel uncertain and alone–and fairly quickly might I add. And it’s so difficult sometimes to let that just be especially when it hurts your heart.

You go on this emotional journey of trying to reconcile what you are feeling, examining your thoughts, actions and words. You take a deep dive into yourself to see what you might be able to do to find the answer or to find the pieces that are missing. But you just can’t. icepieces sunset

You can’t sometimes because it’s not just you. There are other things in motion–energies in play. There are times people may not provide the missing pieces or fill in the blanks since they are unsure, uncomfortable, or want to spare your feelings, etc. You can ask questions and replay conversations in your head, and you can even put the feelings on the shelf to rest them a bit, but when you come back to them the pieces are still missing and a sadness starts to set in. But this is a journey since through your instincts eventually things will become more clear.

Sometimes you can string together what you know or experienced and the missing pieces start to appear–dots are connected and you have clarity. Sometimes the Universe will give you more insight or hints or put someone or a set of circumstances in your path that deposits pieces of information, and slowly but surely those missing pieces start to appear.

True, they may not always make you feel that great and a sadness or disappointment can linger a bit, but with the missing pieces in hand your ability to make choices is unblocked. You can move to working toward reconciling your feelings and accepting the current circumstances and you can hopefully find some peace and calm.

The Power of Self Validation

“Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your inner voice”

~ Steve Jobs

Somewhere along our life journey we find ourselves seeking validation outside of ourselves. It starts early in our lives and continues into adulthood where we go through life trying to be liked and accepted, fearing criticism, yearning adulation and craving validation. We seek approval or recognition of others so we are accepted, liked, loved, included, sought after, popular, etc. We seek validation from friends, family, bosses, teachers and even strangers.

This can be a dangerous development since along the way this need for validation or approval kills freedom and engulfs us in a form of mental slavery. In this state of seeking and living in the validation of ourselves by others we can find ourselves making choices and decisions to avoid criticism or disapproval, rather than what is most valuable or important to us.

More so, approval or validation from others can get to be addictive and before you know it you are constantly seeking or need more. In this state you are putting a higher value of the beliefs, opinions and needs of others before your own. You lose yourself and you sacrifice your dreams, desires and aspirations in order to have the approval of others. Think how paralyzing this is. The consequences are serious. You can start to have low personal fulfillment and a lack of achievement. You may have self doubt impacting your confidence and esteem. You can have an internal battle brewing that creates stress which can lead to a lack of focus and feed health issues.

And for many, they don’t even recognize it since this validation cycle becomes part of everyday life and justifiable so that we feel that we fit in or are accepted.  Society, in this current physical dimension of duality, created judgement and comparison that got internalized by many. Some of us get so preoccupied with being accepted that we lose sight of our uniqueness, our gifts and who we are. alone on deck

We are all entitled to our own thoughts, beliefs and opinions. Because you think differently to someone else or do something differently does not mean one is right or wrong or that one is better or worse. It is important to respect the right of others to have their own beliefs and opinions but to do so you must first respect and appreciate your right to your opinions and beliefs.

You must nurture your ability to think for yourself and know yourself. You must let go of the need for approval and build self-acceptance. Another way of looking at it is as self-validation and honing the ability to be able to distinguish if you are living by other’s beliefs or values instead of your own.

To start your journey to self-validation ask yourself why are other people’s opinions of you are so important to you and why do you need or seek validation of others.

Know and internalize that acceptance and love first starts with you by you and not the outside world.

Affirm that you have the Universal right to be happy and a life that is lived in purpose and love—which again starts within you.

Check in with yourself on whether you are accepting and approving of yourself. It’s your life, your soul’s journey and it’s perfectly fine that it is different from others. After all it should be—we are all unique.

And remember you are here to live an authentic life and not to live to abide by someone else’s rules or to please others.

Take the first steps today to let go of validation by others—and simply validate yourself.

Energy is Energy

“If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.”
― Nikola Tesla

There is no such thing as negative energy. Energy is energy. I know that this may seem like quite an odd statement, especially when we hear about and experience the power of attracting positive results towards our intentions with positive thoughts and actions, etc.  The “positive energy attracts positive energy or results” paradigm, and therefore its corresponding paradigm of negative energy attracting negative energy or results becomes a predominant mindset in how we function and view our interactions. I would like to explore this—negative energy does not exist—a bit with you in this post from a few perspectives.

In our physical world and living in the dimension of duality—right wrong, up down, left right, black white and positive negative—we often function in an unconscious state and in this state we attempt to rationalize or understand what we are feeling or reacting to that may not “feel good” from a position of duality or positive vs negative energy.  However, this is what we label it when we do not like what we are feeling or experiencing and we project that onto others or as a way to rationalize our circumstances.

In reality we are projecting some things about ourselves that we do not like and that we need to work through and change. Being self-aware and understanding and believing that negative energy does not exist is a major step forward. This can take time since we are somewhat hard-wired to think in contrast and opposition, as well as in judgment. It is important to be cognizant of this duality and not let it over-power your thinking.

When you start to be more self-aware you will also become more sensitive to energy around you. Sometimes you may feel uncomfortable with the energy you are sensing, and in your mindset of duality you may describe it or even “feel” it as “negative” energy. And when you feel or think this way—you may react this way as well. You want to take action to block it or avoid it. There is no such thing as negative energy, just energy that does not assist you in achieving your highest good. Remember, energy is energy and everything is energy. red canyon sun

There should be no labeling or judgment of it, for when you define it and react from this place, you lose sight of your power to create your world and work toward your intentions. Know that no one can do anything to you. You create everything that happens to you—everything in your life.  If you are discontent with something in your life this does not mean you are bad, wrong or broken. It means there is opportunity to grow. All the energy you need to change or evolve resides within you.

It is also important to note that what you are actually experiencing is the overall rising energy of the Universe. As the energy rises and gets faster, thoughts, ideas and beliefs that contradict this are going to become more apparent. We are in a time now where the vibration of the Universe is rapidly rising and the frequency of the individual is speeding up as well, many will be challenged with understanding or reconciling the change in these vibrations.

Many may feel uncomfortable or confused, and believe that what they are feeling is negative, they will try to hold onto old beliefs. But this discomfort and confusion can be viewed as part of the ascension or change process. This is when we become so uncomfortable that we know we need to break from these old beliefs and look toward something new or different. It is time to adopt a new paradigm or belief. Let go of panic and fear and observe what is true. It takes courage and conviction to take this step, but do not let the voice of self-doubt enter, knowing that energy is energy and its energy that fuels you.

This said, it is also a time, with the frequencies getting higher and faster, that everything is speeding up. So we must be aware that the time between thought and manifestation is getting shorter. If we are self-aware we will see the correlation between our force (energy) and what is in our realities (our lives). More than ever it’s important to be careful and take responsibility for what we put our focus on.

Hopefully you have gained more perspective into energy and its impact on you, and walk away with thoughts regarding paying attention to your focus and to embrace ALL energy.

Messages from the Universe

Share on FacebookTweet about this on TwitterEmail this to someone

It’s quite easy to get stuck in your thoughts. You start out with the best intentions–to stay focused, stay positive and to let things roll, or more so, to let it go.  But sometimes you will find yourself stuck in your own head trying to navigate out of it. You go to sleep at night with your mind running a marathon of  thoughts, maybe you wake up many times over the night in the midst of odd dreams and those thoughts you went to sleep with are still running over and over. And you wake up and within seconds your mind is in overdrive and/or you just feel heavy and tired. This is an exhausting cycle, and you know you need to get out of it.

One way to look at it is that you need to experience what you are experiencing, and process it. Yes, I know–this is where you get caught up in your mind. It can be a challenge when the “flood gates” of all thoughts are opened–where your mind is jumping from one disparate thought to another or is having quite the journey through worry, sadness, fear, loneliness, etc., related to one or many circumstances or persons and trying to connect them all. After a few days of this, you find that you can’t distinguish anything anymore. It all just blends.

I learned a long time ago that this is when you need to pay attention to the message the Universe is sending you. You need a hard stop and to reset.

Remember, it’s not the external forces or factors at play that are putting you in this place or mindset. It’s how you are reacting or responding to them. We pretty much all instinctively know this.  But our minds get lost in overtime really fast and we lose sight of this knowing. We are just hard-wired this way. But you can spin out of these cycles quicker and with beneficial outcomes–as in learning more about yourself and knowing that you do have the power and the strength to get out of your head. Here are a few reminders when you find yourself on the merry-go-round of your mind.

Stop looking for answers from the Universe. Yes, they are everywhere, but seeking answers and looking for signs is probably not the best way to go. Being open, listening and feeling the answers is what you need to do. When you actively look for the message, you can set yourself up for being misled, overwhelmed or even confused. And this has the affect of getting caught up in your thoughts again. In short, when we seek signs we are letting our minds do the work. light wave

Release the question or challenge to the Universe clearly as possible and allow yourself to be open and receptive to the answers. Here you will find clarity and Universal guidance that lives within you. So ask the question. Breath deeply and release it.

Once released, stop thinking about it and be in the present. Really try to stop your thoughts or problem from dominating your every moment. Do what you do and be where you are. Don’t overthink. Don’t get into your head to try to figure it out. The answers will come. After all, they are always within you. Just remember to be open.

If you have to think or consider if something is the sign, most likely it is not. You may be forcing it.

If you, however, have a physical or intuitive reaction (that in your gut or heart feeling or it makes you feel even if for a split second that it’s a true sense of truth), you will have your answers. This is knowing. And this knowing comes from you–when it feels right, when it makes you feel lighter or when you feel in “the zone.”

Yes, when your mind is in overdrive, it can be a challenge to hit the reset button. But you can and you will. Be in the present in your life and in-tune with your body. This intuition lives in you. This intuition will direct you in the direction you are meant to go.

Energy Exchange

“When Your Energy vibrates at a frequency that is in direct alignment with what the universe has been attempting to deliver your entire life, you begin to live in the flow and true miracles start to happen.”
~Panache Desai

This week I want to focus on energy. Over the past year I have written about energy, I have touched upon energy on an individual level, including that we as humans are energy and that we embody and are a source of energy. I have touched upon management of one’s energy. I have also touched upon energy on a universal level, sharing with you aspects of collective energy and the benefits of tapping into positive waves of energy and good intentions.

And I have shared a fundamental Universal truth about energy exchange that we attract the energy that we are sending out. This is commonly interpreted as positive energies attract positive energies and negative energies attract negative energies. But there is a deepness to the topic of energy and energy exchange that I would like to explore with you.

Energy exists all around us. Every aspect of our world is made up of energy in varying degrees of vibration. From the Divine energy that created our souls to judgmental or manipulative energy, the energy that surrounds us and is within us is constantly moving, redefining and evolving us.

Energy is the substance that makes up life and it comes from within each of us. In every interaction we are experiencing an energy exchange. This energy exchange can be so subtle that most times we are not aware of it. Other times we may feel it physically, for instance in the form of feeling exhausted post a confrontation or a thrilling experience. And most of us know that if we dwell in a state of emotion or energy of fear, sadness, worry, etc., that we seem to attract or perpetuate this in our lives. We feel in a funk or notice that our preponderance to worry about certain things tends to create a series of events that are manifestations of that worry. If we function in a state of emotion or energy of positivity, hope, or calm, we attract more of the positive outcomes associated with this energy. space-stars

We, however, live in a physical world or dimension where we are ascending to our true Selves and reconciling our physical beings with our souls, and people of the world are at different states in this process. Sometimes this creates a competition for energy, as we try to find or fulfill a physical or emotional void when we forget that we have an unlimited energy source within ourselves and where we look to others to fill that void.

Even when a person is loving towards another, he or she can feel drained of energy, as he or she may be giving so much to the other. They think love comes from another when it actually comes from within–from within themselves as a divine source of energy. Energy flows through us and is not from a limited source that can be depleted. If we think of love as a form of energy, we should not fear its loss, as there will always be an abundance of it within us and around us.

Our energies fluctuate within ourselves and between others based on our interactions, intentions, state of mind, and circumstances. It takes focus, reflection and some effort to be grounded, to be in-tune with or understand why we are feeling certain ways, to bring ourselves back to center and to be energetically refueled.

Daily interactions with people and the energy exchanges that go hand-in-hand with this provides us with growth. We need to recognize that an energy exchange is happening and be cautious not to surrender our energy to those who are trying to manipulate it for their own purpose. Now is the time to recognize the situation for what it is and have compassion. Through compassion and understanding we overcome manipulation.

In the daily exchange of energy, sometimes we are victims, sometimes problem solvers and rescuers, sometimes manipulators and sometimes the manipulated. Throughout life we have a role in this energy exchange. To not get caught up in energy competition or struggle, we need to release the need to control or have power over others. It is best to observe what comes to us without reacting, to have trust in the Universe and that what is happening is for our highest good. This is when we use our free will to act, versus re-act. This is when we will be able to tap into the power of knowing all things.

Now is the time to take ownership of the energy that you put out in the world.

Questions and Answers

Welcome to 2016!

One of my favorite quotes is from the book “Their Eyes Were Watching God” (by Zora Neale Hurston) is  “There are years that ask questions and years that answer them.”

It’s a quote that makes you contemplate the year just passed and the year standing in front of you–as you take the first steps into 2016.

I don’t think it’s one or the other. There are questions and answers for each of us every year and every day. But I do think we have years in our lives when life seems more challenging, complicated or even disruptive. There are people or events put on our paths that have us question ourselves and what is happening in our lives, and sometimes it may seem like we don’t really have the answers. These are times of reflection–the years or seasons of our lives that ask questions. But the reflection through the questioning leads to awakening–and answers.

For some of us, those first steps into a new year may be routine. For the most part, they are the same steps we took yesterday and the day before and the day before that. We like the order, the comfort and knowing what to do and when to do it, etc. But there is a part of us that also knows that each day, week, month or year can drop a surprise or two that are unplanned or unforeseen, and may be unpleasant.

And there are reminders of this all around us — the simple dropping of a glass as it hits the floor and shatters into hundreds and hundreds of pieces, the spilling of a cup of coffee, the burst of a water pipe, etc., or hearing a tragic story or event. They are reminders that stuff happens and this stuff can happen to us. This makes us think about what these events or situations may be for us and if we will be ready, which leads me to why I used to dread New Years. trees-snow

I would have preferred to shut the lights off and get under the covers until the sun came back up the next day, and just continue about my day and life. The older I got and with much reflection I realized it was the unknown that bothered me. I thought, hey, I survived the year. Yes, there were some bumps along the way but now there is a whole new year in front of me and it seems a bit scary.  I would get into this incredible cleaning mode–just ridding myself of old stuff out of closets, under beds, everywhere. I got myself into a ‘fresh start” mind set. It was sort of physical manifestation of letting go, cleaning out and clearing for a new path.

But sometimes it felt like I was getting ready or prepared for the unexpected, to make sure that everything would be in order “just in case.” Somehow, maybe this process of cleaning, organizing and clearing would prevent the unexpected from happening or had me thinking I am or would be in control. However, that “unknown” always hung out there along with the instinctual knowing that control is an illusion and that change is a constant.  Maybe subconsciously I was looking for answers to questions that didn’t even exist yet.

But as I matured and got to know myself a bit better, I realized that I have the answers. Life is a wonderful journey and through all its ups, downs and sideways we learn and we grow–and if we are really paying attention and listening to our inner voice, we honor all these experiences and emotions. We know that we are living our life as we intended. And if we don’t like what we are experiencing or feeling we have each new day to make change, to reset intention and be present.

Admittedly New Year’s Eve and Day (maybe week) is not the easiest time for me, but I have learned to embrace the unknown a bit more, to let go of fear and take that leap into the New Year with faith and trust that I am strong, resilient and empowered. So a year of questions or a year of answers? I say cheers to both!

“Everything comes to us that belongs to us if we create the capacity to receive it.”

Rabindranath Tagore

As we stand at the beginning of a New Year let us not lose sight of the growth that we each have achieved and the experiences we have had in 2015.  Let us take these with us into the New Year.

For many the beginning of a New Year brings closure to the past. However, in this closure it is important to keep the learnings, the insight, and the awakenings we have had with us. For some life is experienced in a linear fashion and this time of a New Year is a time to close the door on the previous year—with joy and happiness, hope, or sadness or fear. In doing so they forget that all the experiences, feelings, and emotions of the year added to the fabric of them and to the Universe.

New Year’s is an amazing time. It is a time to take stock of ourselves and the world in which we live, to set new goals and intentions, and to ride the energy wave and spirit of the holiday season. It is a time to reflect and to make peace with and accept our past, to accept who we are and why, and to let go of things not working in our lives. Equally, it is important to be conscious of the constant state of change, to our energy and vibration, and to be fully cognizant of our thoughts, words and actions. cosmos_reflection

Everyday, regardless of how routine or mundane it may seem, provides lessons, presents choices and opens doors to new opportunities. Some of these may be subtle and quiet and some may be big and loud, and even unexpected or disruptive. Remember to embrace them all and to acknowledge and welcome all the emotions that come along. Key here is to be fully present in your life and to follow your instincts.

Everyday we are in ascension—the process by which our energy and consciousness rises in harmony with our true Self, where we find new focus in life on earth, and where we rise to a higher level of being. Our vibrations are rising and our higher consciousness is increasingly able to reside or live within our physical bodies. Through ascension, our bodies, emotions, minds and even genetic makeup are changing.

This is a time for celebration and a season to nurture the growth of this new world within yourself and around you. Your “new” self is already present. It is your soul. Keep your focus on this and try not to get distracted. Do not lose your soul’s signal or fight or suppress what you may be feeling. Believe in yourself and the Universe. Not believing will diminish the power and the energy of you. You were born with the power to turn your thoughts into reality and destined to live your purpose in joy and happiness. Believe that you have all you need within you and through your connectedness with the Universe.

As we turn the calendar page to 2016, let’s jump into all the days believing in ourselves and the greatness and diviness in ourselves. Happy New Year!

Your Soul’s Song

“Music is the language of the spirit. It opens the secret of life bringing peace, abolishing strife.”

― Kahlil Gibran

As we approach this physical world’s year end, for many it is time to reflect and for some to measure where they are in the plans and goals they set forth for themselves as the New Year of 2015 began. Time to take stock of progress they have made towards their intentions, and contemplate their emotions and where they are currently in their lives. This can be exhilarating for some where they are excited to step into the new year based on the growth they realized.

For others it can be a feeling of more work to do and being at peace with that. And for some it may feel discouraging or disappointing whereby they are still being a bit more judgemental of themselves or comparing themselves to others—where they may be living in others’ expectations. Regardless of where you may fall on the spectrum of “reflection” keep front and center that you are on your soul’s journey.

If you feel that you have not “progressed” or “evolved” to the place you wanted to be, let go of the judgement. Take time to deeply reflect and meditate on your emotions. Embrace all of them—joy, sadness, confidence and doubt, etc. They are yours and are your Self sending you a message. Acknowledge them and move forward knowing that you have the power to manifest your dreams and desires. Listen to your inner voice and trust your instincts. You have all the answers you seek.

If you feel that maybe you did not end the year where you thought you wanted to be, re-examine your intentions and be open with yourself about what obstacles you may have put in your own way. And remember that sometimes your soul may need for you to go through a few rounds of the same emotions or challenges so that you learn from them, grow and can move on and not relive them again. These are the “reminds” (The “Re-Mind”) I talked about earlier this year. beach-sundown

Learning to love your self (Love Thy Self) and knowing that you are right where you are supposed to be are Universal truths. Let go of judgement, of jealously and of unnecessary want. Know and believe that you are a divine being and part of something bigger than your single self.

This has been a tremendous year with the entry of new energy (WaveX) into the Earth we inhabit. There is a great ascension underway that can be emotionally, mentally and physically trying. Do not fear it. We are all on a collective journey to a harmonious and higher existence, but our physical bodies can be challenged by this journey. Our mental capacities of focus and concentration can be drained. And our souls may feel agitated and uneasy. These are the times not to ignore these symptoms. These are the times to ensure that you take care of yourself—to eat healthy, to rest, to exercise, to meditate, and to relax (Spiritual Relaxation) into what you are experiencing.

And most importantly, these are the times to hear the harmony that your soul sings inside you. For many, we forget how to listen to our soul’s song. We get distracted. Noise enters and we lose sight of the signal. Life can feel busy and overwhelming with long lists of “to-do’s,” coupled with thoughts of “should haves” and “if only’s. But life is a wonderful gift of the Universe to you. Your soul chose to be in this physical place to experience everything on your path. As you are on this Universal excursion fueled by the new energy coming into this world your soul is working to return to its innate frequency—its song.

You are part of the Universe (The Universe is You)—and as the Universe—are energy. As you go through the constant state of change—as you make peace with your past and release hurts, fears and traumas, you are making connections to your divine Self and are ascending. You are getting closer to your truth. You are enlightened and receive, through opening channels, knowledge and wisdom. Even though some days it may not feel like it you are advancing. You are waking up. Now is not the time to be discouraged or disheartened. Now is the time to celebrate and follow your energy path. Let your soul’s song be heard and let it vibrate through you into the Universe.

I encourage you to read through the collection of posts that we published this year. They themselves have been a journey. My hope is that in re-reading them in the context of what you have learned, where you are now and with the insight of the Universal change underway that you find solace, hope and guidance. My wish for you at this Holiday Season is that you begin to hear a bit louder the song inside of you and to rejoice in it!

Nurture Your Energy. Nourish Your Soul.

“We live as ripples of energy in the vast ocean of energy”

~Deepak Chopra

The concept of energy in the metaphysical sense and as a life force can seem complex. But simply put, each of us is energy and each of us is a powerful energy source that radiates thoughts, feelings, emotions or vibes. In short, we are living power sources of energy. We possess a “core” energy that we are born with when our souls decide to be in the physical world. Further, being part of a collective, through our interactions we accept or intake energy from those around us and we give energy as well. In this constant energy flow we must be in-tune with or aware of that flow or the “give and take” of our energy sources.

We all have encountered people that light up a room or to which many are drawn to. These people possess great sources of energy and those in their presence are energized by them. We have also encountered the energy vampires, those who over step their bounds and suck energy from others. They essentially take the energy from others to compensate for what they may feel is a drain of their energy or an insecurity that their energy is at risk. They take, but they do not give back. dim moon

Regardless of where on the spectrum you may fall, it is important to effectively manage your energy. In efforts to help others you may let too much of your energy source be tapped and can find yourself drained and tired, and even experience physical symptoms of being sick. Or you may be in a period of a negative mindset where you are experiencing self-defeating thoughts or behaviors, blaming others or seeking answers from others. This can quickly deplete energy and you may intentionally or unintentionally siphon energy from others.

To effectively manage your energy you need to take care of yourself and nurture your soul and nurture your energy. You need to be conscious of when you start to experience exhaustion or negativity and thoughts, words and actions that are misaligned with your intentions and purpose. You have to hit a reset button and decide how you will use your life energy.

Here are some ways that you can nurture your energy:

  • Practice mindfulness: Focus on being in the moment and rid yourself of distraction
  • Meditate: Take 10-15 minutes a day to calm your mind, pay attention to your breathing and use a soothing, positive mantra.
  • Be grateful: Have gratitude for the blessings in your life—however subtle or small.
  • Exercise: For physical benefit and or enlivening your soul. Take a walk. Get outside. Put your body in motion.
  • Drop judgement and comparison: Validate your own experience and let go of expectations.
  • Accept yourself: Accept where you are now and that you are a whole or complete person now. You are perfect now.
  • Embrace your experiences and emotions: They are part of the growing and enlightenment process. Reflect upon what you are feeling and why and let go of negativity.
  • Listen to the whispers of your soul: Get out of your head and over thinking things. Clear the sound waves of the noise and know your soul has the answers

How do you nurture your energy and nourish your soul?

At the Crossroads of Clarity

Share on FacebookTweet about this on TwitterEmail this to someone

For many of us we have been diligently working on change–separating the signal from the noise to discover our true Self, what makes us happy, what inspires us and to have more moments of pure clarity. Clarity is such a beautiful thing–it is often fleeting but you know when you have it. You have clear thought, you feel light and you feel good about where you are and what you are doing.

As you worked through the year to understand yourself, find peace with your past and know it’s OK where you are right now, and launched new or refined intentions–along the way you might have noticed an interesting phenomena–where you are not only more focused and in the moment, but the constant noise is lessening. And you may find yourself in this “in-between” place where the noise and disruption in your thoughts and life are shrinking and your mind is now finding its own rhythm.  It may feel like when the noise stops there is no inner music to take its place. clear night moon

This can be a strange place to be. You may struggle as you work through some lingering expectation that you have to be thinking or doing something all the time; that if you are not mindfully busy you are not making a difference. It can be challenging even frightening when you get to the point of turning down the volume of noise in this physical world of doing. It makes you question yourself and even ask if you reduced or eliminated too much.

When I think about this, I think we need to recognize that this too is part of the process of change, of discovery and growth–some may even say ascension. It’s getting yourself into a mind-set of separating the essentials of your core being from the non-essentials. It is a reaffirmation of the essentials of you that help keep focus in your mind, in your actions and in your soul.

This crossroads at noise and signal is part of the process of helping you filter your environment to improve the signal–signals of experience and knowledge and signals for grounded, genuine choices. When you embrace this, let the clarity in and linger, you focus on improving your quality of daily experience and you move from consuming, reacting, etc. to producing. In this state of increasing clarity, you can focus on your knowledge and its Universal source.

Enjoy this interesting place to be and create new music!
